Pokémon that evolve by trading
Some Pokémon only evolve when they're traded, sometimes while holding a specific item. Trade the Pokémon to a partner and ask them to trade it back, or find a trainer on ApexDex who wants to swap trade evolutions too.

Trade for each other
Karrablast and Shelmet evolve when traded for one another: Karrablast becomes Escavalier and Shelmet becomes Accelgor.
Game differences
- A Pokémon only evolves in games that include its evolution.
- In Legends: Arceus, these Pokémon evolve with a Linking Cord instead of a trade.
- In Pokémon GO, they evolve for 0 Candy once they've been traded. See the Pokémon GO trading guide.
- A Pokémon holding an Everstone won't evolve when traded.
