Pokémon HOME trading guide

Pokémon HOME connects your games. Trade in the HOME mobile app, then move the Pokémon into any Switch game that has the species. It's the way to trade across games that can't trade with each other directly.

How to trade in HOME

  1. Agree the trade on ApexDex.
  2. Add each other as friends in the Pokémon HOME mobile app.
  3. Choose Friend Trade, pick the Pokémon, and confirm.
  4. Back on ApexDex, both tap We traded.

Pokémon traded in HOME keep their stats, nature and Poké Ball.

Moving Pokémon into your games

Use Pokémon HOME on Nintendo Switch to move a Pokémon from HOME into a game. A species can only go into games that include it: each Pokémon page on ApexDex, such as Pikachu, shows which games that is.

One-way transfers

  • Pokémon GO → HOME is one way.
  • Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! → HOME is one way.
  • A Pokémon moved into Legends: Z-A can't go back to older games.

Before agreeing a HOME trade for a Pokémon you want in a particular game, check that game has the species.
