Pokémon HOME trading

Pokémon HOME is the bridge between games: trade in the HOME mobile app, then move the Pokémon into any Switch game that has the species. ApexDex helps you find a HOME trading partner and agree a fair swap first.

How to trade in Pokémon HOME

  1. Agree the trade on ApexDex.
  2. Add each other as friends in the Pokémon HOME mobile app.
  3. Use Friend Trade, choose the Pokémon, and confirm.
  4. Back on ApexDex, both tap We traded.

Why trade in HOME

  • A Pokémon's stats, nature and Poké Ball stay the same when traded in HOME.
  • You can trade for a Pokémon from one game and move it into another, as long as the species exists in that game.
  • Pokémon GO and Let's Go Pokémon can be sent to HOME, one way.

  • Stats are kept on HOME trades.
  • Check the Pokémon can move into the game you want to use it in — not every species exists in every game.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the HOME mobile app to trade?

Yes. HOME's trading features are in the mobile app; the Nintendo Switch version is for moving Pokémon in and out of your games.

Will a Pokémon from HOME work in my game?

Only if that game has the species. Each Pokémon page on ApexDex lists the games it exists in.
